Why is it we have to wait until someone becomes ill and then try to “fix it” after it is broken instead of preventing the spread of illnesses or solving the spread of illnesses after there was exposure in a cost effective manner. Which costs more to the establishment during real time or lawsuits and overall the taxpayers? For example: I have a friend who got Staph infection while in the hospital and is now paralyzed. She has been in there over 6 months and will now have to go to Rehab. I had approached this same hospital with cost effective equipment that will kill Staph, MRSA, Viruses, and some Flu’s in the air and on surfaces, and reduce energy costs and chemical use at the same time. They said my equipment was not needed. However, they spend over $12 Million on an atrium. Prevention or Fixing after it is broke? What do you think?

Healthcare Flu Shots

“To be shot or not to be shot, that is the question.” I have been reading about the mandatory Swine Flu shots for New York health care workers. They don’t even know how this shot will work. They still don’t know if one time will be enough. They think it will, but….What could be the side effects? One of the interesting things is that one of labs where this drug was being made became contaminated and had to shut down. There are still a lot of people who remember the 1970′s results of the flu shot and they don’t want to go through the possibility of that happening again. The side effects can be worse than the flu. I have talked to some health care workers in our area and they will not take the shot and they will not recommend it to their patients. One of the main things to do as far as the flu is to build up your immune system to fight it. This may involve natural whole food supplements and life style changes. There are some simple things like don’t spread it through sneezing without covering up, washing hands, and try avoid touching your face after touching suspect surfaces. There is high tech equipment to provide assurance of health when going into a building as well as another solution if the building becomes contaminated since it has been peer reviewed on its efficiency in killing many microbes in the air and on surfaces such as MRSA, Staph, Norwalk Virus, Avian Flu, and has passed the first phase testing in its efficiency in killing the Swine Flu.

Health Care reform

It has happened again. My friend was all set up for his procedure and part of the fee had to be paid in advance although he is on Medicare. Now he gets a phone call from the doctor who now says there is going to be a different procedure and this is going to cost 4 times as much and he has to come up with 4 times the partial payment now in order to keep his place in line. Do think there should be such thing as planning and networking doctors and maybe their pay not depending on what procedures are performed. Yes, there needs to be changes in health care, but not necessarily the ones being proposed.

Health Care Medicare

I was approached by a friend who was in desperate need for money. Boy did he have the wrong person. He was told by his doctor after a physical that he had to have a procedure done or it could lead to serious complications. He is on Medicare. However, the doctor needed money up front before he did the procedure. Medicare will reimburse the doctor for most of the cost, but the doctor can’t wait for the reimbursement and Medicare won’t pay for total bill. Where is this up front money supposed to come. My friend is retired and he has no pension. Why does the doctor need it up front? My friend had already been told to have another procedure done for a different problem, but after talking with me about some of my natural product options he held up on this less serious procedure. After investigation, another doctor said he didn’t need to have the less serious procedure performed because the symptoms were caused by the more “serious” one. This would have been a waste of money, pain, inconvenience, and time. This is what is happening in the most areas of the medical field.
I can tell you about the illegal charges for labs that weren’t done. This particular individual was proud of the fact of what he had done and the way he made so much money. He later ran for political office. He didn’t succeed and I helped.:)
There was a good article about Mayo Clinic on the news and how they do their jobs with quality and cost savings. Their doctors are salaried doctors and not paid by procedure. They use less expensive procedures first, have the patient’s history and actually read it ahead of time, use a doctors’ networking team approach to get it right (therer is less competition as far as who gets to do the procedure to make the money. This reduces cost, avoids mistakes, gives more quality health care and allows them time with the patient, not get it done and hurry to the next procedure to get paid. My mom actually fired her cardiac surgeon for this reason. He didn’t talk to her. Doesn’t this make sense?
My oncologist actually performed in the same way in that he started out with the less expensive and less invasive procedures first and the worked up to a more expensive procedure. I had health insurance at that time and he still did it that way. We then collaborated on the process and he wrote up in the medical journal.
The other problem is with the insurance companies. Stay tuned!

No matter what the economic situation, how your business is doing, or what you are going through with your own life, you need to sit back or just go out and have some kind of fun to “getaway”. This does not have to be an expensive trip or involve a lot of planning. Just get away from the norm and enjoy. This relieves stress and is better for your health all the way around. If you laugh or clap that is even better. You exercise most of the muscles and many of the organs. I watched some Peking Acrobats and lumberjack events this week and I laughed, was amazed, and clapped and that gave me that “getaway” with a fresh approach to business and life. It also gave me something new and interesting to talk about.

I agree that washing hands and sneezing in sleeve and tissue then handling them correctly are necessary. If you are sick, stay home. Period! Not everyone wants to share your “wealth” because you are proud you did not miss a day in 5 years although you got 5 other people sick every time you went in. But if the virus is already on the surfaces on which you are leaning or holding etc and then you accidentally wipe your nose or mouth, gottcha. If someone with the flu sneezes in the air, gottcha. Whether it is the Swine Flu, Avian Flu, Norwalk Virus, some other mutated flu, viruses, or bacteria there will be a pandemic eventually because we as humans are invading the wild life’s territory as what happened with Aids, etc. I believe in killing these microbes in the indoor air, on surfaces, or repelling them away. In my shameless self promoting way, I can help in scientifically non medicating ways safe proven ways through my business if there is a desire to do something. information for architects and engineers

Many times the drawings used by architects and engineers are old drawings that do not show some details that could later waste time, waste money with change orders, etc. or could lead to unsafe conditions such as with electricity and electrical circuits. This may be another reason commissioning should be used. Someone with the necessary skills should be in the field to investigate the status and equipped with digital camera or the right tools so that the information can be sent to the people or companies most interested.

I have to admit that I have not read the 1118 page Health Care Plan. I know it is available on various web sites. I know some radio talk show hosts have it on their web sites as well. I received some excerpts from a doctor who did read it and sent a letter to the Senator of his state to reject it. There has been a lot of talk about health insurance in the United States recently and how to pay for it. Should it be a government plan or keep the private insurance?. Should we be able to be purchase health insurance across state boundaries to increase competition or not? A combination is the probably the best way. If you can afford the best doctors or specialists then pay for the best doctors, etc. Some people don’t even need insurance just like they do not need Social Security. They can afford it out of pocket or their company takes care of them now. If they’re happy, keep it. Don’t change everything for the good of the lower percentage. In fact, encourage it. Plans can be put in place to help the lower percentage non-insured that are more efficient than now. There must be better checks and balances to detect fraud, waste, etc. by non partisan no conflict of interest groups, no stock interest, etc. The insurance company should let doctors be doctors. They know how to use drugs let them as they see needed. Instead of being concerned about being ill, maybe there should be more programs about wellness. Some problems can’t be prevented but many can or at least give the body a better fighting chance. There are ways to do this by improving the environment or the immune system. If you want to abuse your body, you should pay more for it not everyone.
